A trip to London

On March 20th we, the class 4F, accompanied by our teachers Mrs Romauch and Mrs Karnel-Marchart, started our journey to London (Wimbledon). The first day was really exhausting for all of us and we were really excited about getting to know our host families and accomodation.

From Tuesday to Friday we  had to got to school and talked with our teachers John and Taylor about culture, survival stories, food, movies, politics and history. We could even create our own political party and didn’t do a a lot of grammar exercises – that was nice :)

We spent a lot of time in London. The most interesting sights were the Buckingham Palace ( The Changing of the Guard was shortened because of rain), the Big Ben, a visit to Madame Tussauds, Camden Market, Oxford Street, Picadilly Circus, the Arsenal Stadium.

We went to Greenwich by boat on the river Thames and saw the Prime Meridian there  - the only day without rain.

On March 27th we said our goodbyes to our host families in the early morning  and got back safely  in Villach in the evening.
